the Oce n erm nal webpage

It's been bugging me for a while, and now that I have the impetus (ie I should be revising instead of publishing webpages), here's a rundown on how the sign on the front of Edinburgh's Ocean Terminal complex is functioning.
Perhaps it's just me, or perhaps there's a secret code being written over time, signalling to aliens about how best to invade, perhaps the security guards are taking the mick, it might be a abstract form of energy saving, or just a cheap batch of lights they got off the back of a (very big) lorry. Anyway here's how it's going....

& here's an example (from 17th March 05) to whet you're appetite for your own visit to this 8th wonder of the Edinburgh world.

PS. I know there's other signs on the building, including an almost identical version of the main sign attached to the car park. However I can't see this - perhaps someone in the Britannia Quay flats could take up this particular gauntlet ?!?!
